RVFTA #92 What’s New at Camp Jellystone?

What's New At Camp Jellystone?
On this week’s episode of RV Family Travel Atlas, we are checking out what is new in the world of Camp Jellystone. A few years ago, we had our first Yogi Bear camping experience and it was an off the charts success. Today, Jellystone visits are a regular part of our RV season.

First we have an interview with Michele Wisher, Vice President of Marketing and Promotions for Leisure Systems Inc, the franchising company behind Jellystone Camp-Resorts. Then we will share some of our tips and tricks for getting the most out of a Yogi Bear Campground.

You might think you have to go to Disney World to score serious points with your lively little campers. But we know that good Jellystone campground can have the same effect for a fraction of the cost. You are listening to Episode #92: What’s New at Camp Jellystone?

Yay! We are leaving on Sunday and heading to the Jellystone Resort at Mammoth Cave, KY. It will be our first time at a Jellystone campground and we are so excited. We are planning to stay all week long and enjoy all the campground fun and also see the cave, which is a National Park and see some other sights around the area. I will check in with you all when we get back. We would be more than happy to give it a review if you want.

So exciting! Have a blast and we can’t wait to hear about it!!!!

Congratulations on the new truck, I’m jealous, but only because I keep looking at these class B motorhomes, but they just aren’t in the budget right now. Our Chevy (older than yours) has 112K on it and I do hold my breath with it when we are on a trip. But keep us informed as to how you like the Ford, happy that the boys will have more room, they will need it as they get bigger. (No surprise to you, I know, just throwing that grandparent “wisdom” around.)
I enjoyed the Jellystone interview as a business interview, we really don’t need the “resort” type of campground unless we have the grandchildren with us, which happens less and less any more. Maybe the campground of the week should do a few more of the state and national park type of campgrounds, but on the other hand, they would be pretty short in terms of the campground and longer on the things to do in the SP or NP.

Hi JP, Still loving the truck and we will definitely be sharing more info about it in the week’s to come! We are doing a ton of state/national parks on Campground of the Week. The last 6 episodes were public campgrounds, so check it out:-)
